"The chef’s signature is beef cooked three ways and it is melt-in-the-mouth delicious, especially when washed down with a bottle of red. The seafood is (of course) excellent and fresh, and the atmosphere is lively."
Vanity Fair
"Once a convent for The Order of the Epiphany, today The Alverton is a sanctuary for those who worship at the altar of local produce and contemporary cooking. We liked sauntering across The Courtyard to dinner at the smart-yet-relaxed restaurant. Forget heading into town to find a table at one of Truro’s eateries; these pleasingly seasonal dishes are some of the best for miles."
Food Magazine
"It's a stylish hotel with a well-regarded restaurant which is elegant, sophisticated and colourful."
Tom Chesshyre, The Times
