Jackie Oates and John Spiers blend together their love of English traditional folk tunes and songs with their voices and acoustic instruments, resulting in a fresh sound that is uplifting, joyful and poignant. Their first album featured songs from the Oxfordshire area that were originally sung by lace-making factory girls to keep time whilst crafting lace and to add enjoyment to their work. The Cornwall Garden Society's Spring Flower Show

Described by The Telegraph as the “Chelsea of the West” the Cornwall Garden Society’s annual Spring Flower Show is the ultimate horticultural hurrah. This show will be packed with gardening inspiration, including dazzling daffodils, magnificent magnolias and captivating camellias. Not only this, there will also be rhododendrons in the Competitive Classes, and 80+ specialist nurseries and garden traders. If you’re a flower enthusiast, you won’t want to miss it!

That’s right, Porthleven Food Festival is back and it’s bursting with flavours.
Porthleven Food Festival is an award-winning, community-led not-for-profit event. It brings families and foodies together to enjoy eats and beats around the picturesque Cornish harbour. Wander about and discover the fantastic chef’s theatre, food markets, street food, music by day and night and free family entertainment for all.
