St Piran's Day celebrations, Mother's Day and Après Ski parties - there's plenty to keep you busy in Cornwall this March as we welcome in the start of spring.

1st March

Country Club Night - Old Bakery Studios

Dust off your cowboy boots and kickstart the new month in style! On Saturday 1st March, Last Night Country are teaming up with Old Bakery Studios for a wild night of country music.

With a DJ playing the likes of Morgan Wallen, Dolly Parton, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and many more, expect a night of foot stomping, and lots of dancing.

5th March

St Piran's Day Taste of Truro

Celebrate St Piran’s Day from our oasis in the heart of the Cornish capital. On Wednesday 5th March, our Head Chef Ollie Wyatt will be hosting an intimate tasting evening at The Alverton.

At £60 per person, indulge in a five-course tasting menu that has heavy influences of traditional Cornish recipes with a modern Alverton twist, and raise a glass to St Piran with us.

15th March

Après Ski Party - Knightor Winery

You don’t need to leave Cornwall to hit the slopes this month. Head to the award-winning Knightor Winery in St. Austell, where they will be hosting their very own Après Ski Party.

Transforming the ordinary into an alpine escape, this event promises a night of winter wonder. Gather your friends for a festive soirée filled with music, laughter, and a touch of après-ski chic. From cozy cocktails to cool tunes, the atmosphere is set for a mountain-style celebration. Break out your winter gear and join in the fun.

22nd-23rd March

Falmouth Spring Flower Show

Step into a floral wonderland at this year’s Spring Flower Show at Princess Pavilion. Immerse yourself in a riot of colours as the finest spring blooms take center stage, showcasing the Cornwall’s horticultural excellence.

Visitors can expect to enjoy up to 100 different classes throughout the weekend, including daffodil categories, children’s classes, camellias, rhododendrons and magnolia workshops – and there’s no fee for taking part. Entries must be in by Friday 14 March.

27th March

Bobby's Taste of Cornwall

Head to the Water’s Edge, our sister hotel’s award-winning restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience with their Head Chef Bobby Southworth.

Bobby will be showcasing his culinary talents in a mouth-watering six-course feast. Each dish is inspired by the traditions found in Cornish cuisine, with an inventive Greenbank twist. A ticket to this delightful event is £69 per person.

30th March

Mother's Day at The Alverton

At The Alverton we have some fabulous foodie experiences to enjoy this Mother’s Day. For the mums with a sweet tooth, our afternoon tea complete with home-made scones, elegant finger sandwiches and the most divine home-made cakes and bite-size desserts will make her day!

Or, for a brilliant three-course dining experience, spoil her with award-winning food with our Mother’s Day lunch menu in our historic Great Hall.
