The Best Pumpkin Patches in Cornwall
It’s that time of year again when we adorn our windows and doorsteps with creativity-carved, orange, glowing faces. For an authentic autumnal experience, and lots of fun for all the family, why not head to your local pumpkin patch and pick your own?
To help you have the most enchanting October, here are some of the best pumpkin patches in Cornwall this autumn.
Trevaskis Farm
A 30 minute drive from The Alverton.
Set amidst 28 acres of beautiful countryside, Trevaskis Farm is famous for its Pick Your Own vegetable offering and in October that means pumpkins.
Get down to their picturesque site and hunt for your perfect pumpkin. Entrance is free and you only pay for what you pick.
Also, there’s fantastic farm shop and restaurant for you to indulge after a morning of pumpkin picking.
Open daily from 10am to 5pm
Trevathan Farm
A 50 minute drive from The Alverton.
This low-key farm has plenty of pumpkins to choose from. No need to book, just head to the field, pick your own and pay at the end.
A family friendly farm, it also has a farm shop, restaurant and children’s play area.

Splattenridden Farm
A 35 minute drive from The Alverton
This fantastically-named, family-run farm has a plethora of pumpkins on offer this October. From ghost pumpkins to zombies and miniature gourds, you couldn’t pick a more Halloween-themed pumpkin picking site.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome to accompany you, so don’t forget to include your favourite pooch.
The field is open from 10am until 15.30pm.

Lobbs Autumn Fest
A 30 minute drive from The Alverton.
More than just a pumpkin patch, Lobbs Farm hosts a family-friendly Halloween extravaganza.
A tractor and trailer ride will take you from their farm shop down to one of the best pumpkin patches in Cornwall where you can pick out your very own pumpkin.
Once you’ve found your perfect match, there’ll also be a hay bale photo booth waiting to capture you and your new friend. There are even three mini hampers to be won for the best photos.
Tickets are £8 for children and accompanying adults go free.
Halloween At The Farm – Healeys
16 minute drive from The Alverton
Closer to Truro, the famous Healey’s Cyder farm are hosting their own fun-packed Halloween fest.
Expect a haunted tractor ride, to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, followed by a spooky pumpkin carving session.
Tickets are £8 for adults and children and include the tractor ride and pumpkin but adults can swap their pumpkin for a pint of Cyder instead.
Scaryland
A 20 minute drive from The Alverton.
You don’t get much more spook-tacular than Dairyland’s Scaryland week.
With activities like a creepy craft workshop, pick your own pumpkin, pumpkin carving and a haunted tractor ride through ‘witches wood’, this spooky event will certainly keep children of all ages entertained.
Tickets are £13 with discounts available for young children.
Halloweden Pumpkin Weekend
40 minute drive from The Alverton
Although not strictly a pumpkin picking experience, The Eden Project’s annual Halloweden celebration promises to be an enjoyable halloween-themed day out for all the family.
Discover the traditions of Halloween and venture into the Rainforest Biome to delve deeper into the origins of superstitions on our mysterious Magpie Trail.
Listen to wild and wonderful stories while in the pumpkin patch, or get hands-on with the Weave a Web Workshops. You can even take a spin on their spooky ice rink.
