Truro to Falmouth
The team set off from The Alverton at 9:30am. Following the old railway line at Newham to the beautiful hamlets of Calenick, Old Kea, and Cowlands, they shortly arrived at Trelissick gardens by midday. After a quick refuel of Cornish cream teas, the group carried on towards the King Harry Ferry platform. Boarding Fal River’s Moyana boat to Mylor, the team could take in the views across the river.
They then all walked to Flushing. Some of the younger volunteers boarded the Flushing Ferry across to The Greenbank Hotel. Finally, the keen walkers looped around Penryn, arriving at The Working Boat in Falmouth at 5pm. Just in time for well deserved pizzas and drinks!
