Nick’s Easy Tiffin Recipe

If you’re in search of a quick and easy Easter recipe idea, our Executive Chef Nick’s classic tiffin is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

The beauty of the tiffin is there’s no baking involved. Forget about complicated techniques or managing oven temperatures! Simply create a delicious mixture with all of your ingredients, pour into a mould, and refrigerate. The perfect Easter recipe idea that the little ones can get involved with in the kitchen.

The core tiffin ingredients you’ll need:

  • 250g milk chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 3 tbsp castor sugar
  • 3 tbsp golden syrup
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder

Raid your pantry for these sweet cupboard leftovers:

  • Broken biscuits (approx 200g)
  • Cake or sponge bits (up to 100g)
  • Handful of nuts, chopped or whole
  • Handful of seeds
  • Handful of dried fruit

How to make Nick’s Easter tiffin:

  1. Line a Tupperware container with cling film or lightly butter a mould or tray.
  2. Melt the butter, sugar, syrup, and cocoa.
  3. Melt the chocolate.
  4. Stir the raisins, biscuits, and sponge bits into the butter mixture – ensure thorough folding.
  5. Add the melted chocolate and fold in again.
  6. Pour into your mould.
  7. Refrigerate for two hours.
