Cheese and wine are a match made at The Alverton, especially when they’re sponsored by Trewithen Dairy. So join us on Thursday 17th December where we’ll be hosting our very first cheese and wine night in our Great Hall. Most importantly, we’ll be taking your tastebuds on a trip to Italy for fine wines and tempting cheeses that you’ve just gouda try!
Join us from 6pm-8pm, when our Alverton wine supplier and expert Carl Burdett will be pouring six glasses of wine for you to sample throughout the evening. Slurp on red, white, rosé and sweet Italian tipples from Sicily and Sardinia, whilst listening to Carl discuss the different characteristics of each wine.
And if a six-course wine flight isn’t appealing enough, Chris Slocombe OBE from Longman Cheese will also be joining us. Above all, Chris will be making some delicious cheese choices and selecting six options to compliment the each wine.
Tickets are available to buy on Eventbrite, and cost £20 + booking fee. To avoid disappointment, you’d feta get booking!
