What’s on this February in Cornwall
From live blues bands, to murder mystery parties and wine tasting events, there’s plenty to keep you entertained this February in Cornwall.
Lido and lunch
A 45 minute drive from The Alverton

Diamond Heist Murder Mystery
At The Alverton
On 10th February, journey back with us to 1944 for the best murder mystery evening in Cornwall.
Arrive at The Great Hall in your period finest and take your seats for this immersive dinner event. The famous Murder by Appointment will then give you clues and scenarios to help you discover who committed a heinous crime.
Starting at 6.30pm, enjoy a tipple on arrival before taking your seat for the main event. A delicious three-course dinner will be served with a side of scandal, mystery and murder (starters will be served at 7pm).
Tickets are £55 and 1940s fancy dress is encouraged
Thao Nguyen Phan Exhibition
A 40 minute drive from The Alverton
Winter is the perfect time to spend a rainy afternoon exploring Cornwall’s various galleries where world renowned artists often exhibit their works.
In February it’s the turn of Vietnamese artist, Thao Nguyen Phan. In her most extensive UK exhibition to date, she explores the historical and ecological issues facing her homeland of Vietnam through a combination of videos, paintings and sculptures.
The exhibition runs until May.
Wille and the Bandits
A 10 minute walk from The Alverton
Say yes to a different kind of blues this winter. This classic blues rock band has been compared to the likes of Cream and The Jimi Hendrix experience and they’ll be performing at Truro’s Old Bakery Studios, for an exciting evening of music.
Head to The Alverton, only a short walk away, for a pre-show cocktail or dinner.
Half term at Eden
A 40 minute drive from The Alverton
If you have children or grandchildren, The Eden Project is the perfect place to keep them entertained this February half term.
Children go free during half term and there is plenty to do. Eden’s ice skating rink will remain open until 19th February. Whilst if you fancy rescuing a dying Alien their new attraction, The Escape Room, will also run until the end of half term.
Wines of the World Tasting Evening

At our Wines of the World Tasting Evening, you can expect to leave feeling like a wine connoisseur, with all the best tips and advice served to you throughout the evening.
Our expert sommelier, Yohann Thuillier, will introduce you to six wines from lesser known wine-producing countries such as Greece, Hungary and Uruguay, alongside serving you a selection of delicious canapes that will compliment the tasting flight perfectly.
Rock of Ages The Musical

It’s the final countdown for the West End smash-hit musical, Rock of Ages. The rock music extravaganza, starring Coronation Street’s Kevin Kennedy, will be showing at the Hall for Cornwall at the end of February.
