Monsters of the Deep

During lockdown, The National Maritime Museum’s newest visitors were hibernating, awaiting the reopening. Now the museum is ready to show off their immersive exhibition – Monsters of the Deep.

Fast Boat Tours with August Rock Adventures

Sometimes there’s no better way to explore Cornwall than taking to the sea. August Rock Adventures offer adrenaline-rush boat tours on their speedy RIB with high speed blasts around Falmouth Bay.

Storytelling - The Sea Show by Squashbox Theatre

Looking for some outdoor entertainment in the Cornish sunshine? Squashbox Theatre are bringing their family-friendly storytelling series to the breathtaking Minnack Theatre. And the theme couldn’t be more fitting, given the open-air theatre’s location carved into the rugged coastline overlooking Porthcurno Beach and Logan Rock. Featuring a cast of whimsical puppet characters and sing-a-long tunes, a Squashbox performance is guaranteed to get the whole family involved.
Drive-In Cult Cinema
Where: 20 minute drive from The Alverton
Fans of cult classics, this one’s for you! Hendra Croft Farm in Newquay are hosting the ultimate cult film events with a twist. The drive-in cult cinema has everything you could want for a great evening of food, music and film.
Expect live music upon arrival, lots of festival favourites served by Cornish street food vendors and screenings of cult classics including Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski and Mad Max Fury Road. With some film choices yet to be confirmed, you can even nominate your favourite to be shown.
Perranporth Craft and Vegan Market
Where: 20 minute drive from The Alverton
The weekly craft and vegan market at Perranporth is back! Every Thursday from 9:30am – 4:30pm, browse handmade products from local residents and businesses, from mosaics, jewellery, shoes and purses to vegan dog treats, skincare and jams. With plenty of COVID-19 procedures in place, including arrows on the floor and hand sanitisers, social distancing will be simple to follow at the summer stalls.
Tim's Anniversary Summer Tour

Join Tim, one of the discoverers of the Lost Gardens of Heligan back in 1990, for an exclusive tour. Listen to the tales of the restoration first-hand from Tim, as he shares his ambitions and successes over the past 30 years. Ask questions and experience the gardens with this very personal tour.
Summer Garden Sessions

A garden party on the terrace with live music, two for £10 cocktails and al fresco dining. Our Summer Garden Sessions are back! Open Studios Cornwall 2020

Over 250 artists, designers and makers will share their studio spaces, their stories and omnipresent originality in a safe and socially-distanced celebration of artistic practice at the Open Studios Cornwall 2020 event.
Talented creatives are inviting you to guided tours to discover new artistic practices, masterpieces and techniques. Painters, printmakers, potters, textile designers, sculptors and illustrators are just some of the creatives involved in this year’s slightly different Open Studios event.
Discover new favourites, discuss works of art in depth and purchase those one-off pieces perfect for your home.
