With a love of copywriting and design, we speak with our PR and Marketing Executive, Rebekah, who has recently joined The Alverton Hotel.
Born in Somerset, Rebekah moved to Falmouth to study Creative Advertising and went on to complete a masters in Communication Design. During her studies, she worked as a supervisor in our sister hotel’s The Working Boat pub.
Rebekah spent her free time interning at ad agencies in London, producing adverts for brands such as Vodafone and WWF. Determined to find a creative career in the south west, Rebekah worked as a Social Media Executive in Exeter until applying for our PR and Marketing Executive role. She joined our team this January.
Rebekah also works for our sister hotel, The Greenbank in Falmouth.
As PR and Marketing Executive, I get to work on a variety of projects which keeps every day interesting. I really enjoy coming up with new ideas, creating content and also getting to meet new people through the PR side of things.
I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for many, many years now so it feels great to be producing creative work for a company that has supported me a lot.

When you start spotting the boats poking out from behind the trees and the water twinkling below, it’s just so special.
