Get to know The Alverton's Bar Manager Alex, who knows his stuff when it comes to mixing drinks!
After moving to Cornwall over 20 years ago, Alex has since fallen in love with the county. Leaving a few times in the past, he claims to always be drawn back and considers Cornwall home sweet home. The Alverton welcomed Alex as the new Bar Manager six years ago and we haven’t looked back since. A popular member of the team with all our visitors, there isn’t much Alex doesn’t know about mixing the perfect tipple.
When I first started six years ago, the bar was just a shell. But I knew then that I wanted to be a part of this fantastic piece of history. My favourite part of the job is meeting new people and ensuring they have an amazing experience at the hotel.
