As we approach another week in lockdown, we have been thinking about how much we miss seeing The Alverton full of happy guests. Especially our guests enjoying their holidays and special occasions in Cornwall. We know this is a very daunting and anxious time for everyone. We hope you are all staying safe and well.

With all the beautiful sunshine Cornwall has been enjoying recently, we’ve been reminiscing over sunny afternoons gazing across the luscious gardens with a cocktail in hand on our sun-drenched terrace. This gave us a great idea to get you all travelling down memory lane and reflecting on the good times.

We’d love for you to share with us your Alverton holiday highlights. Whether you visited this year or ten years ago, or perhaps even before our historic building was a hotel! Nothing beats looking back over your old holiday photos, and we’d love to see what fantastic features you’ve captured. From something delicious you ordered from our award-winning restaurant, to that perfectly timed selfie in front of a gorgeous Cornish sunset, or photos taken around our grade II listed hotel – we want to remind ourselves of all the things to look forward to once we reopen!

How to enter

To enter, send your photos along with any memories, anecdotes or holiday highlights to [email protected]. You can also tweet in your entry by tagging us on Twitter @alvertonhotel and using the hashtag #AlvertonMemoryLane. By entering the competition, you give us permission to share your photos.

The winner will be selected at the end of May and will receive an overnight stay in our breath-taking Bishop Suite to book when we reopen. Arrive in true VIP style with cocktails on arrival and start the next morning on a high with a hearty Cornish breakfast, the perfect getaway in the Cornish capital to look forward to once normality is restored!
