Cornish History: Help us Unearth The Alverton’s Past
Our knowledge of the The Alverton’s history has lots of gaps, and we’re hoping you’ll be able to help us find the missing pieces.
Our Cornish History
We’re on a mission to uncover some Cornish history. We have so many wonderful stories about The Alverton that we want to share far and wide. We currently have a very small library of old photos and we know there must be more out there. Adding to the rich Cornish history, we’re looking to fill in the gaps and celebrate one of Truro’s most fascinating landmarks.
Share your Cornish history
Whether it is a memory of your own or a story a family member used to tell, we would love to hear from you. If you have any old photos, we’d love to see them so we can continue to grow our image library and preserve it for generations to come.
Our plans
Our plan is to turn your fascinating stories into prints we can display on the walls. As visitors walk through the building they can be immersed in the wonderful history. We’ll also create postcards our guests can send, so we can share The Alverton’s Cornish history far and wide. Can you help us?
Where to send your stories and photographs
We’d be absolutely delighted to hear from you. Please send digital photos and any stories to [email protected]. Or pop in anytime with photos for us to scan. If you send us hard copies of photos we’ll make every effort to look after them and return them to you. Our postal address is The Alverton, Tregolls Road, Truro, TR1 1ZQ. If you’d like to give us a call you can reach us on 01872 276 633.
