Celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau Day
On 17th November, we will celebrate the historic French Beaujolais Nouveau Day, here in the heart of Cornwall. To mark the occasion, we will be offering a very special deal on the world-famous red wine.
What is Beaujolais Nouveau Day?
Beaujolais Nouveau Day arrives every year on the third Thursday in November. Historically, the day marked the end of the harvest of the first French red wine ready for drinking. Unlike other French wines, Beaujolais can be drunk immediately after harvest. In the past, the day was marked with races to get bottles of the new wine to markets all across the globe.
Throughout France, posters continue to be hung in bars, restaurants and cafés. To this day, phenomenal hype surrounds the wine.
