A garden party on the terrace with live music, two for £10 cocktails and al fresco dining. Our Summer Garden Sessions are back! Bruce Adams and the Craig Milverton trio

You don’t need to be a jazz enthusiast to enjoy the sweet and funky sounds of Bruce Adams & the Craig Milverton Trio.

With a reputation as ‘One of the finest jazz musicians the UK has produced’, you’re sure to be in for a treat at this unique event taking place at Chycara, Carnon Downs next month.

Not only will ticket holders get to enjoy the fabulous sounds of jazz and Bruce’s excellent anecdotes, but they can also expect to indulge in a lavish two course meal from the talented team of chefs at Ruby June’s Indian Kitchen. Tickets can be purchased here.

Great British Summer Fete

Go back in time this summer with the Great British Summer Fete.

Ditch your tech for the day and head to the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge to experience a traditional English Summer Fete at this popular festival event. With a variety of workshops taking place throughout the day, an opportunity to buy some handmade gifts and treats, and even an assortment of entertainment to enjoy, the summer fete is a great day out for all ages.

Miracle Theatre: Starcrazy

To set the scene; It’s 1957, Russia just launched Sputnik 1, everyone is talking about outer space, and Miracle theatre are heading to suburbia where nosy neighbour Gwen thinks Stanley is up to no good in his garden shed.

Watch the tale unfold at Cornwall’s spectacular open theatre in Penzance where a group of talented actors, from one of the top theatrical companies in the South West, will be bringing this unique story to life.

Written & Directed by Bill Scott, with original music by Tom Adams, this ‘cosmic comedy’ is one for all the family to enjoy with tickets starting from £10.

At this newly founded market, the ethos is shop small and local. Cornwall isn’t short on talented creators, artisan producers or creative types, and this market aims to showcase the best indie traders and producers the region has to offer.

You’ll be sure to find lots of decadent gifts, delicious food and drink, homeware, vintage finds and more at this ‘one of a kind’ market. The perfect place to pick up gifts for friends, family or even for yourself.

The market will be running over a weekend in mid-July in the heart of Truro’s bustling city.

Introduction to Botanical Illustrations

Learn the art of botanical illustration with this unique short course.

Join talented botanical artist Laura Silburn for a three day course, where you’ll learn to refine your skills in the art of botanical illustration among the impressive landscape of the Eden Project.

Laura will guide your through the techniques of graphite drawing and shading, helping you to transform your sketches into works of botanical art.

Included in the cost of this course are materials including paints, sable brushes, watercolour paper and drawing papers, as well as lunch and refreshments each day.

Rock Oyster Festival

With delicious food, live music and stunning estuary views, the annual Rock Oyster Festival is an unmissable event for locals and visitors alike.

The festival takes place over the last weekend of July and offers an immense range of entertainment for all to joy.

For foodies, there’s lots on offer that’ll get your taste buds tingling, including live demos, street food traders and even open fire cooking. If music is more your thing, head to the stage where you’ll hear the sounds of some of the UK’s biggest artists including ‘kitchen disco queen’ Sophie Ellis-Bextor. And for those who like to take it slow, the wellbeing field will be offering morning yoga and spa massages.

For this spectacular weekend you don’t need leave the kids at home either, as this is a super family-friendly event.
