Make the most of Movie Monday with this Cornish family favourite…

This tale tells the story of a cynical Londoner in the music industry who hears a group of Cornish fishermen singing while out on a stag weekend. He hears their deep voices and truly believes they could make it to the top of the charts. The hard part is convincing them that they can, too! This heart-warming comedy is based on the true story of one of our favourite shanty groups from Port Isaac, Fisherman’s Friends. You can purchase your ticket, here.

Polperro Fishermen’s Choir are delighted to be back singing again after over a year’s absence due to the pandemic. This popular male voice choir primarily formed in 1923, providing the very best in traditionally Cornish and modern choral music. This will be their 98th year performing and we can’t wait for this fantastic event. It’s a free event but as the RNLI are a charity close to our hearts, we’d recommend tossing some money into their buckets!
