Strike a pose! Truro Trend 2019 is hitting the streets of our Cornish city. This week-long event celebrates fashion, beauty and hair with in-store special events and a glamorous fashion show hosted annually at Truro Cathedral. Bag your tickets to the cathedral catwalk event on the 9th October and get some wardrobe inspiration for the season ahead.
Heligan Harvest

Celebrate the 500 heritage varieties of fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs that are cultivated at The Lost Gardens of Heligan in St Austell. Head to Heligan Harvest for inspiring talks, displays and demonstrations from the talented team of green-fingered gardeners. Falmouth Oyster Festival

Oggy oggy oggy, oi oi oysters! Falmouth kicks off the oyster dredging season every year with four days full of feasts, cooking demos, food and craft stalls and live music at the Events Square marquee. Keep an eye out for Nick Hodges, Executive Chef at our sister hotel The Greenbank, as he will be showing off his culinary skills and talking all things oyster at the event.
North Cornwall Book Festival

The Alverton's Beer and Cornish Drinks Festival

Calling all beer buffs and spirit connoisseurs, we are inviting a whole host of Kernow’s best breweries and distilleries to our Great Hall for lots of festival fun. Jubel, Keltek, Healeys Cyder, St Ives Gin and The Cornish Distilling Co. will be just some of the suppliers representing the county. Sink some drinks, feast on our rustic buffet and party the night away with live music from the likes of Mog Jones, The Roosters and Off The Lights. Swot up on the Cornish drinks scene, try samples and discover all the insider knowledge from the industry experts at masterclasses and talks. We’ll see you there to raise a glass (or three)!
Murder on the Dance Floor

Halloweden

The Eden Project are celebrating Halloweden and all things eerie this October half term. Explore the forbidden forest, learn all about owls with Screech Owl Sanctuary, carve the perfect pumpkin and brew mystical potions using only the best botanicals. Don’t miss the Little Monsters’ Ball on Saturday 26th, where only the spookiest of fancy dress is allowed at the Medittaranean Biome disco and chilling ice-rink.
Ghost Tours

This one is for the grown-ups who love a bit of nail-biting horror. This Halloween, test your nerve with a supernatural ghost tour at the Charlestown Harbour and Shipwreck Museum. Named ‘Dead Men Do Tell Tales’, this tour of the museum is an adult only event that will encompass the museum’s 8,000 artefact collection. Be enthralled with tales of shipwrecks, curses, supernatural occurances and ghosts and gouls on your spine-chilling tour!
