Set within the beautiful grounds of Scorrier Estate, the Great Estate Festival is one parkland party you don’t want to miss! Deemed the most rambunctious garden fête, it’s back in all its former glory.

From major international headline acts, a mix of comedy, theatre, music and the arts to vintage fairgrounds, a woodland silent disco, secret gin garden and burlesque sessions as well as glamping, hot tubs and the Swamp Circus, it is a Cornish festival like no other.

The Royal Cornwall Show

Dig out your wellies, because the county’s biggest annual diary date is back! The Royal Cornwall Show is all about showcasing the best of farming and food. This top agricultural show is the perfect day out to immerse yourself in the Cornish heritage.

Full to the brim with animals, food stalls, live entertainment, a fun-fair and flower and crop competitions, the historic event dates back as far as 1793.

Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival

Visit Falmouth for a weekend of sea shanties and boat racing. The world-renowned Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival is a weekend full of musical performances in the beautiful seaside town.

The Working Boat pub at The Greenbank Hotel will be hosting some of the festivities with 16 fantastic performances throughout the three days. Make sure you bag a front-row seat to see the harbour-side singers and soak up the festival atmosphere with a cold drink from the bar.

Cornwall Gin and Prosecco Festival

Calling all gin and prosecco lovers! Truro is hosting the festival for you. St Merryn Steam and Vintage Rally

The St Merryn Steam & Vintage Rally is a must-see for all vintage motor vehicle enthusiasts. The local rally, which dates back to nearly 40 years, features many rural exhibits including vintage tractors, steam engines and classic cars. There’s also a variety of trade stands and a car boot sale, alongside authentic Cornish wrestling, performances from local majorette bands and a disco with live music in the evening.

Eden Sessions 100th Session

The spectacular Eden Project biomes are transformed at night into a venue buzzing with atmosphere for live music. Eden Sessions are now celebrating their 100th show with a star-studded line up. Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Doves, Dreadzone, Asian Dub Foundation, Bill Jefferson and Backbeat Soundsystem will be taking to the stage at this Cornish landmark.

Mevagissey Feast Week

Mevagissey

The Mevagissey Feast Week is a wonderful community event, where both locals and visitors are welcomed to join in with the celebrations. It is thought to be the oldest ongoing festival in Cornwall and the event features exhibitions, demonstrations, live music and lots of fish dishes to eat.

The entertainment includes choirs and bands, flora dances, children’s competitions, plus colourful parades, boat and raft races, a fete and a huge firework display.

Rock 2 Rock

Watergate Bay, Newquay

Where: 35 minute drive from The Alverton

Breathe in the fresh, sea air and get moving at the stunning Watergate Bay beach. Rock 2 Rock is a sunset beach run and plastic free event to raise awareness for environmental friendly causes. The event combines running with live music, fireworks and food and drink, so whether you are an avid athlete or just want to come and enjoy the atmosphere, it’s a beach party worth checking out.
