Miracle Theatre presents 'A Perfect World'

Miracle Theatre are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and are touring various venues in Cornwall with their new show ‘A Perfect World’. A rollicking music-filled adventure, enjoy showings performed in open-air venues this July.

Looe Lugger Regatta

5th - 7th July

Where: 1 hour drive from The Alverton

The Looe Lugger Regatta is held every two years. An exciting event for boating enthusiasts, luggers from all over the UK and France meet in Cornwall to show off the maginificent boats. With approximately 40 luggers moored up in Looe harbour and Looe bay – it’s quite a sight to see. Whilst you’re in Looe, explore the busy fishing port and all it has to offer, from its sandy beach to the town peppered with local shops and cafes.

Jess Glynne Live at The Wyldes

Where: 1 hour 10 mins drive from The Alverton

Chart topping pop-star Jess Glynne is paying Cornwall a visit at the beginning of July. She’ll be performing some of her greatest hits at The Wyldes, a unique outdoor venue set in the rolling hills and woodland countryside just outside of Bude. Show Jess some ‘real love’ and head down to The Wyldes for a night of fantastic music and a magical atmosphere.

Race For Life

Run, jog or walk 5k to help raise money to beat cancer this July. This nationally recognised fundraising race is coming to Truro and starts at Richard Lander School. The route will lead you around the undulating country lanes of Truro, before returning to the event area to celebrate the athletic achievement. Dig out your trainers or sponsor someone taking part this month.

Green Truro Festival

Tropical Pressure Festival

Get your glowsticks and colourful clothing at the ready for Tropical Pressure Festival, happening on the second weekend of July. Porthtowan hosts a proud celebration of culture, with acts from Colombia, Brazil, Kenya, Cuba, Jamaica and the UK.

The festival is held at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, a beautiful grass-filled farm overlooking the gorgeous Cornish coast. Camp overnight, dance at a silent disco and indulge on an all vegetarian menu at this family-friendly festival.

Cluedupp Truro Detective Day

Unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes with this interactive day out in Truro. CluedUpp is a detective game that’s just like a giant, outdoor version of Cluedo. Dress up as your favourite crime-busting characters and take to the streets of Truro to crack the mystery.

The theme is “Sneaky Finders” and the story is set in the fictitious town of Millingham. Gather your smartest team, ready to stalk the streets, track down virtual witnesses and eliminate suspects. With prizes up for grabs, get ready for some healthy competition throughout the day.

Ice-cream and Bubbles Festival

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream! Fans of the frosty coned treat, feast your eyes upon this event. The ice-cream and bubbles festival is happening on national ice-cream day at pretty Mount Edgcumbe Park.

Prepare to be spoiled for choice on local ice-creams in weird and wonderful flavours (including vegan ice-creams), as well as interactive jewellery making workshops, a prosecco bar, street food, live music and children’s entertainment including lots of fun with bubbles. It’s set to be a sweet day out.

Port Eliot Festival

Port Eliot is one of the most magical, immersive festivals in the UK. Even more, this festival is popular among celebrities as well as locals and tourists, the four day celebration of all things creative kick-starts on 25th July at the lavish Port Eliot estate in St Germans.

Soak up the best of live music, comedy, fashion, art and crafts, literature, drama, cuisine, and outdoor adventures in one beautiful space. After that, when night falls, be prepared for a raucous party scene where everyone lets loose until the early hours.
