It is with heavy hearts that The Alverton will be temporarily closed for an initial period of three months.
Safeguarding our amazing team, guests, the local community, and our NHS has always been our number one priority, so after closing our food and beverage operations on 18th March, we feel that the time has now come to fully batten down the hatches. It is our duty to be part of the nationwide solution to stop the spread of Covid-19 and to protect each other.
We will of course constantly review the situation and follow the UK government guidelines as they are announced over the coming days and weeks.
Whilst we cannot confirm when the hotel will re-open, our reception team will be monitoring emails remotely, but this could take up to 7 days for a response so please bear with us. Please email email@example.com to discuss any bookings further.
Things are changing quickly for everyone and we appreciate that last-minute changes are inevitable. If you are happy to postpone rather than cancel your existing booking, we’d be delighted to honour the room rate you’ve paid, no matter the season. When we do reopen, we’re offering all guests who have rescheduled a £20 tab behind the bar, to join us for some much needed tipples once social distancing is but a distant memory.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal and wonderful customers for all their support, from online messages sending well wishes to our team, to guests who have co-operated with patience and understanding and to the local community for standing by our decisions over the last week. It is so greatly appreciated.
We also ask that you listen to government advice, and protect us now, to protect your future visits to Cornwall.
