After a recent inspection from the AA The Alverton’s four-stars have turned silver and we couldn’t be more delighted.
The hotel has been under its current ownership for just five years and over this time we refurbished the interiors, built 15 new rooms, won numerous wedding and food awards, gained our second AA Rosette and now we’ve gained our silver-star status. What a busy few years we’ve had!
The AA issue a silver award when a hotel provides a superior level of quality within their star rating including high standards in three elements including overall quality, which reviews six critical areas of quality: cleanliness, hospitality, service, bedrooms, bathrooms and food; and the provision of services and facilities.
Roger French, Managing Director of The Alverton says “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive the silver award from the AA - it really is testament to the hardworking team we have here and I’m deeply proud of them all”.
Paul Ricketts, General Manager of The Alverton says “After adding new mod cons to the bedrooms, improving our service across all departments, increasing the standards of our food and adding more value to our dining experience, it’s great to see it all pay-off. Our aim is to be one of the best hotels in Cornwall, not just in Truro and we’re very excited about what the future will bring for us”.
