Christmas is on it’s way, and as ever Truro is a festive haven with late night shopping, a cracking family panto and excellent festive markets. So you don’t miss a thing we’ve put together our own calendar of events in the city.
Tuesday 6 December to Saturday 31 December 2016
Hall for Cornwall plays host to the biggest Panto across the land and this year it’s a the classic story of Jack and the Beanstalk with a Cornish twist. Starring Kernow King, Cornwall’s very own born and bred comedian, it’s sure to be full of Fe Fi Fo Fun for all. Why not catch a matinee performance then treat yourself to a Festive Afternoon Tea at The Alverton?

Wednesday 7 December
Cattle, sheep, preserves and farm produce are all on display at the annual Primestock Show on Lemon Quay. Held in the heart of Truro it is believed to be the only Primestock Show in Britain in a city centre.

Wednesday 7, 14 & 21 December
Carols on street corners, the smell of sugar coated almonds and the twinkling of Truro’s lights can only mean one thing - late night shopping! Tuesday 13 - Sunday 18 December
70 exhibitors don full period costume to create a traditional Victorian Street Market. The atmosphere is always special with choirs, singers and some special guests adding to the festive spirit.

Saturday 17 December
At the centre of the city, Truro Cathedral towers majestically above the skyline, and inside, the Cathedral is just as breathtaking. Join the Cathedral’s choir for a celebratory evening of festive carols and sing-a-long to your favourites.

Tickets are now sold out for our New Year’s Eve party in the Great Hall, but you can still join us on The Alverton terrace for the best view of the fireworks. Grab a glass of Champagne from the bar and welcome in the New Year with friends. Cheers!
