The first Truro Food Festival hits the streets of Cornwall’s capital city on the 27th – 29th September and we are proudly sponsoring the foodie event. Centered around Lemon Quay, this event is a city-wide celebration of the best of Cornish cuisine. Expect gourmet street food, a hub of deliciousness in the Cornish Food Hall, and a local restaurant trail with live workshops and cookery demonstrations galore.
The Chef’s Theatre
A must for food and drink enthusiasts. Award-winning chefs from across the county will gather to showcase their skills in the kitchen. And what would a festival be without a bit of music? With local bands and singers set to perform, the sweet smell of mouth-watering food won’t be the only thing to fill the streets. Truro will be alive with the sound of music throughout the day and well into the evening.
The Alverton At Truro Food Festival
We can’t wait to get involved in this tasty event, so make sure you swing by our stand at the festival. We’ll be located just outside the entrance of the Cornish Food Hall. Our Head Chef, Simon George, will be cooking up some of his summer specials including his legendary seafood jambalaya. Don’t miss out on all the sizzling action from The Alverton stall, with plenty of demos plus food and cocktail sampling over the three days. We’ll also be armed with recipe cards so you can attempt our dishes at home!
Truro Food Festival is not only the chance to sample fantastic food and drink from local restaurants, brands and chefs. Attending will also help raise money for Trussell Trust. The festival will officially open with a very special charity benefit gig. All the profits will be donated to Trussell Trust which is a charity that aims to end hunger and poverty in the UK.
