Join us for our murder mystery in Cornwall. On Saturday 28th October, step through the grand oak doors of The Great Hall, into the raunch of 1900s Paris, for a night of glamour, intrigue, and suspense. 

You’re invited to rub shoulders with the Bohemians and aristocrats at the infamous Moulin Rouge. The greatest show on earth is about to take place, an electrifying affair for fresh eyes, but nothing out of the ordinary for the seasoned cabaret performers. That is until, an astonishing crime is committed under everyone’s noses, and a thrilling show turns into something far more sinister.

Pay close attention as the evening unfolds, and be careful not to get swept up in the charm and razzle dazzle, as everyone has a motive for keeping you on their side. Whilst you dine on our three-course, French-inspired menu, listen out for clues between courses, interrogate the suspects, and try to identify the killer in the room. 

Appearances are everything at the Moulin Rouge, so we’d like you to dress to impress. Turn heads in burlesque, feather-lined corsets, shimmy your way to your seat in glitzy flapper dresses, or suit up for the occasion with your best tailcoat and top hat. Don’t be fooled by anyone’s exterior, it could all just be a cover up act.

What to expect

Our opulent Great Hall will be totally transformed into the glitzy Moulin Rouge, for our murder mystery in Cornwall. As darkness falls, the cabaret club opens. Arrive at 6pm to the thrilling underworld of 20th century Paris, where eye-popping excess, risk, and romance thrive. 

Mingle with the other attendees over an arrival tipple, before taking to your seats for the main event. From 7pm, enjoy three-courses of French-inspired cuisine, served with a side of scandal, mystery, and plot twists. 

Keep your eyes on the prize, as a new dramatic scene will unfold between courses, adding more puzzle pieces, clues and potential theories to the explosive plot. Secrets, hidden relationships, bad blood and motives will all be revealed. Who can you trust? It’s your job to crack the code, deliberate over the clues, and unmask the killer.
