Meet The Alverton’s PR and Marketing Executive
Born and raised in Falmouth, Lisa loves the laid-back lifestyle of her hometown in Cornwall. She is passionate about writing and pursued her talent at university where she studied Creative and Media Writing in Portsmouth. During her degree she relocated to London for a year to intern as an Editorial Assistant at Debenhams. This is where she discovered her love for creative online content and blogging.
Since moving back to Cornwall, Lisa was inspired to start her Cornish lifestyle blog, and loves documenting her adventures around the county. As well as writing, she loves music, photography and animals – especially cats!
After experiencing city life, Lisa couldn’t wait to move back home to her roots in the south west. Now back in beautiful Falmouth, she says that returning to the Cornish coast is a dream. She joined The Alverton team in May 2019 as our PR and Marketing Assistant shortly after finishing her degree and was then promoted to PR and Marketing Executive in 2020.
Lisa also works for our sister hotel, The Greenbank in Falmouth. She loves utilising her creative writing skills to produce inspiring content for both hotels.
As PR and Marketing Executive, every day is different and the staff at both hotels are so lovely. I love writing creative content for our blog and using my skills as a writer to promote Cornwall and all it has to offer visitors. It’s such a beautiful part of the world.
I have a bit of a sweet tooth and do love to indulge in a bit of Cornish fudge, and in Cornwall you’re never far from a shop that sells it! I recommend heading to St Ives for lots of tasty sampling.
