For lunch in Truro, foodies will fall in love with The Alverton. Our award-winning menu changes seasonally to showcase the best of the south west. Fuel up on heart-warming classics, unforgettable puddings and inventive culinary creations presented with the unique Alverton signature. Our lunch menu is served Monday to Saturday from 12pm until 3pm.

Starters

  • Chef’s soup of the day, garlic rosemary focaccia (Vg, DC 1, 2)
  • Pressed confit chicken thigh and chorizo, concassed tomatoes, herbs, crispy shallots, parma ham crisps (1, 7, 9, 14)
  • Torched mackerel fillet, fennel and orange salad, garlic toast (2, 5)
  • Twice baked Helford blue cheese souffle, walnut rocket salad (V, 2, 4, 7, 9, 10)
  • Honey glazed venison sausage, buttered mash, onion jus (2, 7, 14)
  • Prawn cocktail, plump Atlantic prawns, king prawns, lettuce, Bloody Mary sauce (2, 3, 4, 5, 14)
  • Dukkah roast aubergine, coconut and coriander pearl couscous, raisins (Vg, 1, 2, 7, 10, 12, 14)

Mains

  • Confit duck leg, seared duck liver, bubble and squeak, crispy onions, Cornish mead reduction (1, 2, 7, 14)
  • Catch of the day, thyme and garlic roast new potatoes, spinach, lemon salsa verde (DC 5, 7, 14)
  • Twice cooked pork belly, caramelised apple, colcannon mash, cider cream, crackling (1, 7, 14)
  • Lemon, sage, pea and wild mushroom risotto, Italian cheese (V, 1, 7, 14) Vg on request
  • Chef’s seafood stew; prime local fish, prawns, mussels, harissa and saffron broth, fennel, focaccia (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 14)
  • Fish and chips; (battered or grilled), chips, crushed peas, tartare (2, 4, 5, 7, 14)
  • Caesar salad; romaine lettuce, bacon bits, soft egg, focaccia croutes, parmesan, anchovy (2, 4, 5, 7, 14)
  • Add chicken breast or smoked salmon (£4 supplement)
