Thursday Cocktail Club – The Alverton, Truro

Unwind on Thursdays at The Alverton’s Cocktail Club. From 5pm until late, enjoy expertly crafted cocktails in the relaxed setting of our bar and restaurant or out on the terrace. Choose two classic cocktails for £15 or two signature creations for £18, and let our talented bartenders shake, stir, and garnish your perfect tipple. It’s the ideal way to toast the end of the week and kick off the weekend early.

7th September

End of Summer Charity Quiz and Feast – The Greenbank, Falmouth

As the sun sets on another Cornish summer, gather your sharpest minds and best quiz pals for an evening of good food, great company, and a little friendly competition – all in support of Bliss. Kicking off at 7pm, teams of four to six will go head-to-head across several rounds of trivia, with a complimentary bottle of wine for each team and plenty of prizes up for grabs. Tickets are £39 per person, including a feast-style ‘surf and turf’, with a minimum of four and a maximum of six people per team.

8th – 11th September

Macbeth – Minack Theatre, Porthcurno

The Duke’s Theatre Company presents a fresh and dynamic retelling of Macbeth, breathing new life into Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy. Renowned for their daring and inventive approach, the company infuses the gripping story of ambition, murder, and madness with a modern intensity. Performed at the iconic Minack Theatre, perched dramatically on the Cornish cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, this production unfolds against one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the country – heightening the drama of Shakespeare’s dark tale.

12th September

Wine and Cheese Evening – The Falmouth, Falmouth

On Friday 12th September, The Falmouth will host an elegant wine and cheese evening in the newly renovated Castle View restaurant. Guests will enjoy artisan cheeses from The Greet Cheese, paired with wines from Moët, Cloudy Bay, Terrazas de los Andes, and other specially selected labels. With views across palm-lined lawns to Falmouth Bay, the evening begins at 6.30pm and is priced at £32 per person. To book, please contact the events team by emailing [email protected].

 

12th – 14th September

Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival – Healeys Cyder Farm, Penhallow

This September, Healeys Cyder Farm plays host to the Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival – a quintessentially Cornish celebration with a big festival spirit. Set among the farm’s beautiful orchards, the weekend promises an eclectic mix of live performances from major bands, the much-loved Orchard Silent Disco, and the BBC Introducing stage showcasing fresh new talent. Festivalgoers can enjoy camping or glamping under the stars, while sampling an incredible selection of ciders from across the UK, alongside great food and plenty more surprises.

24th – 28th September

Truro Food Festival - Lemon Quay, Truro

For five unmissable days of food, drink, and music, head to Cornwall’s capital city as Truro Food Festival returns to Lemon Quay. Expect to see the very best of the Cornish culinary scene, accompanied by tasty street food stalls and live entertainment. From award-winning producers to top Cornish chefs, it’s a showcase of local talent paired with live music and a great atmosphere. With our very own Executive Chef Nick Hodges and Head Chef Ollie Wyatt demonstrating, you won’t want to miss this ultimate celebration of Cornwall’s foodie scene!

27th September

Fawlty Towers Comedy Evening – The Falmouth, Falmouth

Basil, Sybil, and Manuel return for an evening of food, farce, and fun, joined by surprise guests from across the Channel. Guests are welcomed with a glass of fizz before a three-course dinner served amidst a whirlwind of comedy, iconic Fawlty Towers moments, and improvised chaos. With classic characters brought to life and unexpected twists along the way, it promises interactive theatre at its funniest. Hall for Cornwall – Truro
