1st - 29th August

Sunrise Sessions - The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Pentewan

Join the early birds this August and make your way to The Lost Gardens of Heligan as they open their doors every Thursday morning for some summer Sunrise Sessions. Wander through enchanting gardens and an ancient estate just as the world is waking up.

Make the most of some quiet moments amidst the peaceful tranquillity of the natural world. From the Northern Summerhouse you can watch the sunrise over St Austell Bay. Enjoy the calming chatter of birdsong as you explore the woodland, and embrace a moment of peaceful reflection. Tea and coffee will be available for anyone needing an extra boost for an early morning adventure.

4th August

Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny - The Hall For Cornwall, Truro

For an evening of laugh-out-loud jokes and an edgy sense of humour, Jimmy Carr’s ‘Laughs Funny’ is not one to be missed. Now on tour with his brand-new show, he’s making his way to The Hall For Cornwall this summer.

90 minutes of eye-watering one liners with that darker edge that we all know will have you jumping straight into the good stuff, no interval necessary.

7th - 11th August

Boardmasters Festival 2024 - Newquay

With the stunning Cornish coastline as its backdrop, Boardmasters is back once again for five days of epic music, pro surfing and a balmy beach lifestyle.

Expect big names like Sam Fender, Stormzy and Chase & Status to grace the main stages while the sunsets over the water. Sway in the sun with a pint in hand to sunset beats. Try your hand at a spot of surfing in the salty swells of Fistral Beach. From silent discos and yoga afternoons to outdoor cinemas and secret after parties – Boardmasters 2024 is set to be one to remember.

18th - 24th August

Fowey Regatta - Fowey

One of the UK’s best known sailing events is back this August with a bang. Fowey Regatta Week means fast-paces sailboats and gig races flitting across the water. Discover car parades and grand carnivals, firework displays and swimming events.

Book your ticket for a night at the prom at Fowey Church, or a comedic display from Johnny Cowling. A favourite event amongst locals and visitors from far and wide, don’t miss this year’s Fowey Regatta.

21st August

The Tale of Jemima Puddleduck - Trelissick Gardens, Feock

Quantum Theatre are back with a brand-new adaption of a much-loved Beatrix Potter tale. Presenting The Tale of Jemima Puddleduck, the national theatre company can be found performing at Trelissick Gardens this August.

While in search of a nesting place for her eggs, Jemima Puddleduck is in danger of being fooled by a charming ‘gentleman’. Will Collie dog Kep reach her in time?

24th August

Truro Cathedral Roof Tours - Truro

Standing proudly as one of Cornwall’s most spectacular landmarks, Truro Cathedral’s hidden history is just waiting to be explored. Ever wondered what it looks like up there in the rafters? Well, here lies an opportunity to find out, with a Truro Cathedral roof tour.

The Cornish Dahlia Society return to The Lost Gardens of Heligan for their 43rd Annual Show, and it’s set to be a stunning affair. Enjoy a weekend of dazzlings blooms and the beautiful flowers are displayed at their finest.

27th - 29th August

The Tiger Who Came To Tea - The Hall For Cornwall, Truro

Adapted and directed by David Wood, and based on the book by Judith Kerr, The Tiger Who Came to Tea comes to Truro direct from the West End. A true family favourite, The Hall For Cornwall makes for the perfect place to stage this Olivier Award nominated musical.

A big, stripy tiger at the door is the last thing Sophie and her mummy expect to see when they’re having their tea. For oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos, this is a show to delight and surprise.
