We’re doing the Coastal Convoy for Bliss

The Cornwall Hotel Collection's Coastal Convoy, kindly sponsored by Fal River Cornwall and Flushing Sailing Club, will take place on Sunday 12th October, in aid of this year’s chosen charity, Bliss. Alongside our sister hotels, The Greenbank and The Falmouth, The Alverton team will walk 17 miles (27km) from Truro to Falmouth.

The Coastal Convoy

Starting at The Alverton, on Sunday 12th October, we are walking the scenic 17-mile route, from Truro to Falmouth. At the King Harry Ferry platform, we will board one of Fal River’s beautiful boats to Mylor. From here, we will walk to Flushing and loop around to The Greenbank, before finishing at The Falmouth for some well-deserved rest and refreshments.

“On 1st October 2021, our son Jesse arrived into the world weighing just under 3 pounds. He spent five weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where he received truly exceptional care from dedicated nurses and brilliant consultants. While Jesse’s care was outstanding, we quickly realised that support for parents in NICU can often be overlooked. That’s why I chose to support Bliss.

Bliss is there for those who face longer stays, tougher outcomes, and more uncertainty — and I hope our fundraising can help them continue that vital work now and in the future. Thank you all so much for helping us support this amazing cause.”

Why are we doing it?

Nominated by The Greenbank’s Hotel Manager, Matt Garland, and voted for across our three hotels, Bliss is a charity dear to many of our hearts. The team will be bucket shaking along the way, pausing at Truro, Trelissick, Mylor and Flushing with the aim of raising as much money as possible for this fantastic charity. Staff, family, friends, and canine chums will all be taking part, with each person having secured sponsorship to contribute to the overall donation to the chosen charity, Bliss. Staff participants are aiming to raise £100 minimum as part of their entry.
