Cornwall’s 2025 Bucket List

From sea shanties and food festivals, to murder mysteries and incredible musical line-ups, here are the top events in Cornwall to tick off in 2025.

Throughout the year: Bobby’s Taste of Cornwall, The Greenbank

Indulge in an exquisite six-course tasting menu at The Greenbank in Falmouth. Taking place throughout the year, Head Chef Bobby will be curating a collection of dishes that encapsulates the true taste of Cornwall. Bobby will take you on a journey that highlights tradition, new cooking techniques, flavour fusions, and most importantly, champions local produce. For passionate foodies, this is not one to miss.

27th February: The Great Coast-to-Coast Charity Dinner, The Alverton

Five award-winning chefs, from four Cornish regions, delivering five sumptuous courses, for one great cause. Guests are invited to join in The Great Hall on Thursday 27th February for a true celebration of Cornish food and drink, with all proceeds donated to Hospitality Action.

The menu highlights the very best seafood, grass-fed meats and harvest available across the Duchy. Curated by some of the county’s top chefs,  it will be accompanied by an alcoholic pairing carefully tailored to each dish.

12th-20th April: St Endellion Easter Festival

A treat for the eyes and the ears, head to Collegiate Church of St Endellion in North Cornwall over the Easter period for inspiring musical arrangements. From chamber concerts, to an orchestra of instruments, the setting of the ancient church is made even more breathtaking when filled with the melodic sounds of talented musicians. 

Founded in 1958, this tradition is over 60 years old, and plays an important part in the community of the hamlet just outside Port Isaac. Booking opens 15th March for the general public.

8th May: Helston Flora Day

Another truly Cornish tradition. The town of Helston has marked the end of winter and the arrival of spring with Flora Day for hundreds of years. The local community comes together every May in expressing the light, vitality, and colour that comes with the changing of the seasons.

Expect to see shop displays in all their vibrant glory, and dancing in the streets.

30th May - 1st June: The Great Estate Festival, Scorrier

It’s the return of the most rambunctious festival in Cornwall. A whimsical line-up awaits, from live music, mirror balls hanging from trees, a secret gin garden, silent disco under the stars, circus performances, and more!

Located on the impressive grounds of Scorrier House, expect the unexpected at this family friendly festival.

5th-7th June: Royal Cornwall Show, Wadebridge

Cornwall’s biggest annual event promises the very best of Cornish agriculture, food and entertainment. Come along and explore the farming talent, gardeners, chefs, and local businesses across the county, coming together for a weekend of livestock competitions, flower shows, food and drink, and live music.

6th-8th June: Tunes in the Dunes Festival, Perranporth

For a music festival like no other, head to Tunes in the Dunes. Enjoy live music against the stunning ocean backdrop, and boogie the night away. Headliners this year include Busted, Jess Glynne, and Ministry of Sound: Ibiza Anthems!

Fun for all the family, it’s one of the top events in Cornwall in 2025.

13th June: Lobster on the Lawn, The Alverton

Guests are invited to join the hotel on the hill for Lobster On The Lawn, a cracking seafood celebration this summer. On Friday 13th June, chefs will be rolling out a lobster feast, with all the trimmings. Guests can enjoy succulent lobster, caught locally in the Cornish waters, served al fresco style on the hotel’s outdoor terrace, overlooking The Alverton gardens.

Tickets to Lobster on the Lawn are £50 per person. This includes a rustic lobster feast and an arrival glass of fizz.

13th-15th June: Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival

One of the hotly anticipated events in Cornwall in 2025 is the annual International Sea Shanty Festival. During this weekend in June, the seaside town of Falmouth comes alive with the familiar sound of shanties, performed at a variety of local pubs, restaurants, and venues.

Be sure to visit The Working Boat, perched right on the harbour, for their line-up of events throughout the weekend.

Throughout June & July: Eden Sessions, St Austell

Head to the world-renowned biomes at The Eden Project this summer for a line-up of musicians, playing the most unique stage in all of Cornwall. 2025’s Eden Sessions line-up includes Gary Barlow, The Script, and Madness, with more names set to be announced soon.

24th-27th July: Rock Oyster Festival

Rock Oyster Festival is a hybrid between a food and a music festival. Attracting some well-known names in music, Ministry of Sound Classical, Rag’N’Bone Man, and UB40, are amongst some of the talented singers and performers.

For the foodies in the crowd, plenty of cooking demonstrations and appearances from Michelin-starred chefs will happen across the weekend.

26th July: Truro Pride Parade

Whether you are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, or an ally showing up in support, everyone is welcome to Truro’s Pride Parade. More information on the logistics of this important calendar event is yet to be announced, but you can expect the streets of the Cornish capital to look brighter than ever before with a rainbow of colours.

6th-10th August: Boardmasters, Newquay

Every year, Boardmasters gets bigger and better. With surfing at its roots, the festival is appropriately held on the cliffs of Watergate Bay, overlooking the beach and waves. Why not book a surf lesson on Fistral beach?

This year’s line up has some incredible names, with Raye and The Prodigy announced as headliners, with more names to follow soon!

8th-17th August: Falmouth Week

Whether you’re interested in sailing, or just want to get involved with the shoreside events, Falmouth Week is one of the busiest times of the year for the seaside town on the south coast.

The Working Boat is one of the prime locations for observing the action on the water, with a pint of something cold in hand. Join the annual Pink Wig parade on Friday 8th August, and keep an eye out for the marquee by the sea, hosting live music throughout the week. 

13th-27th September: St Ives September Festival

The postcard worthy views and picturesque coastal scenery in St Ives makes it a total hotspot for visitors, particularly in the summer holidays. One September in 1977, when the crowds dispersed, and the weather cooled, a few locals came together to share art and music, and September Festival was born.

Now attracting new visitors well into the autumn, it’s a celebration of the arts, from music, painting, pottery, and photography, to poetry and literature, there’s something for everyone.

24th October: Murder Mystery Evening, The Alverton

Guests are invited to a night of intrigue, suspense, mystery and, of course, murder in the opulent setting of The Great Hall at The Alverton. Arrive in your 1920s ‘Flapper’ finest to The Flamingo Club in uptown Chicago, one of the most successful nightclubs in the city. Watch the mystery and threats unfold before your very eyes and when a body is found, see if you can work out who the murderer might be?

Your ticket includes an arrival drink, a three-course dinner and entertainment.

Throughout December: Christmas at The Alverton

Expect a magical calendar of events to mark the most wonderful time of the year. Throughout December, gather your friends, family, or colleagues for a Christmas party night or dig into a trove of yuletide treats with their famous festive afternoon tea.

Pull up a pew in The Great Hall to watch the hilarious seasonal comedy ‘Christmas.Time’ by Near-ta Theatre.
