At The Alverton, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. This season, we're introducing Aubrey's Daiquiri, a special addition to our cocktail menu that holds a profound significance for our team and guests alike, with £2 of each sale going to Abbie's Army.
Crafted with care by our Bar Manager, Simon, Aubrey’s Daiquiri is a delightful blend of rum, fresh lime, and strawberries. Sweet to the taste and crafted in memory of a special girl, this refreshing cocktail embodies the vibrant spirit of summer.
This cocktail is named in loving memory of Aubrey, Simon’s niece, who bravely battled Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) and sadly passed away on 18th August 2024.
Aubrey ‘Strawberry’ was a bright and adventurous child who loved gymnastics, stories, scooting, swimming, dancing, and singing. Her resilience and strength continue to inspire all who knew her.
In honour of Aubrey, we’re donating £2 from every Aubrey’s Daiquiri sold directly to Abbie’s Army, a charity dedicated to funding research and supporting families affected by DIPG.
This organization plays a crucial role in raising awareness and contributing to much-needed research funding for this aggressive form of childhood brain cancer.

In honour of Aubrey’s fourth birthday, a charity skydive took place on 6th December 2024 in aid of DIPG. With the JustGiving page still receiving donations, every little helps in the bid to find a cure.
